YEAR 2023: 20 Years from now...
It is the year 2023 and stereos are used everywhere. Not only is it used for music, television, and movies, but it is also used for educational purposes. Universities developed a way to get information to students in more ways than lectures and online lectures.
Students at universities across the United States just passed a referendum to have lecture broadcast on radio stations bought and run by the university. There is a new band of radio stations that are used only by universities. Each station is bought by a college or a department of the university, depending on how big the departments are. Every hour on the hour lectures are broadcast. Students are free to record these lectures so they would be able to refer to them later.
Students may not feel the need to attend classes after learning that they can just hear their lectures online. Wrong! If a professor choose to air his or her lecture on the university radio, it will be mandatory for them to include many visuals during class. This way if a student decides to stay home and listen to the lecture rather than attend it, they will still be missing out on valuable information conveyed through visuals.
Every university across the nation will have their own set of radio stations.
